There are hundreds of hotels in Bangkok. When it comes to choosing a hotel to stay in the capital, it always comes to personal preferences. We heard many travellers want the best deal but is there ever a best deal?

Staying in a hotel is not so much about the price per night but the overall experience. We have visited, stayed and reviewed dozens of hotels in Thailand. From budget to posh, from popular International brands to boutique hotels, the hotels offer different types of stay but the experience is unique.

On our recent trip to Bangkok, we stayed at Dusit Thani Bangkok. The hotel is a very popular luxury five star hotel in the capital. Thus, it is an icon and part of Bangkok. Since opening in 1970, Dusit Thani sets the benchmark as one of the top five star luxury hotels in the capital.

The moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by smiling hotel staff handsomely uniformed in the smart Thai attire. He is one of the few popular figures in the hotel as guests took turn to take picture of him and with him.

The lobby lounge is a touch of art and majestic. With high ceiling and huge white pillars, the lobby lounge is bright, huge and classy.

Outside of the lobby lounge is this beautiful manmade waterfall.

It wasn’t long we were shown to our room. The room comes with living area and the room area.

It is a comfortable room as we sat down on the couch and watched TV for hours and the working desk is convenient for me to update my blog on my laptop with FREE wifi.

There is also a wardrobe area huge enough for our big luggage. We always love spacious hotel rooms.

The bathroom is huge with separate shower, bathtub area and toilet. The bed is comfortable as we stayed two nights there. We wished to stay longer on our next visit as we had great sleep with four pillows.

Since we went there during weekends, we went up to the 22 Kitchen and Bar for their Brunch O’Clock promotions.

The 22 Kitchen and Bar is located on the 22^nd floor and it offers 360 degree views of Bangkok skyline and also the beautiful Lumpini Park.

The view at 22 Kitchen and Bar differs from day to night. During evening, the restaurant turns into a romantic restaurant with breath taking Bangkok city night view. It is ideal for couples for a romantic dinner here at 22 Kitchen and Bar in Dusit Thani Bangkok.

The other highlight of this hotel is it is strategically located near BTS Sky Train Saladaeng Station and MRT Silom Station. Thus, it is also located opposite Lumpini Park and also within walking distance to business, shopping and entertainment districts such as Silom, Sathorn and Rajprasong.
