The Roof Gastro at [email protected] Design Hotel Bangkok Pantip

When it comes to roof top dining in Bangkok, you will be spoilt with choices. There are at least over a dozen roof top restaurants in Bangkok. During our stay in [email protected] Design Hotel Bangkok, we went to their rooftop restaurant on the 25^th floor for dinner. The restaurant is called The Roof Gastro and it offers Western, French and Thai cuisine.

The Roof Gastro is located on the roof top of [email protected] Design Hotel Bangkok. You can either at the lower ground floor covered or the roof top uncovered.

Every single roof top restaurant in Bangkok offers a different view depending on areas. For The Roof Gastro, the view is more focus on the National Stadium and the surrounding area.

The roof opens from 6pm to 11pm daily and we were there for dinner with our friends from Bangkok.

So what’s for dinner?

For starters, we had Cream of Oyster and Black Truffle Soup. We love the lightness of the soup and also the hints of the black truffle. The taste is well balanced.

The Poached Brittany Blue Lobster Salad is no longer available in the new menu (if not mistaken). The salad comes with generous portion of Brittany Blue Lobster. This is a hi-so (high society) salad.

The dinner continues with their famous hot stone grill. They have a good selection of beef and we chose the Australian Rib Eye.

The Australian Rib Eye sizzles and it placed on the hot stone. Cooked till it is medium rare and it is perfect! Just seasoned it will salt and pepper and you can taste the goodness of the rib eye.

It was really cooling dining at The Roof Gastro. Love the breeze from the wind and the breath taking view of the city. The pricing of the food here is above average and they do change their menu from time to time. Our advice is to book a table before you visit them.
