Hotel Once Bangkok Review
There are probably thousands of hotels in Bangkok and finding the right and ideal hotel is tough. On our recent trip to Bangkok, we decided to stay in a new unfamiliar territory for us. Instead of staying in Pratunam, Silom, Sukhumvit and Sathorn area, we decided to choose at Bangkok Riverside near Asiatique.
It is one of the newest riverside hotels in Bangkok, converted from old building to a spanking four starred hotel. Their location is ideal just 10 minutes of walk from Asiatique Waterfront and next to Ramada Bangkok.
The hotel is hidden in the alleys of Soi Charoenkrung 72/2. Thus, they are located near to the main road, 7 Eleven, restaurants and spas. You can easily find local restaurants for dinner and supper here and you can always walk to Asiatique The Waterfront which is only 10 minutes away.
What we like love about this hotel is how they designed the hotel from its original building. The hotel now looks brand new with classy white furnishing.
There is a gallery on the mezzanine floor and there is also a rooftop restaurant (Top Knot) with the view of the surrounding area and the Chao Phraya River.
The rooms come with individual private Jacuzzi on top of separate standing shower and toilet. You can easily spot the Jacuzzi with high ceiling and the huge tall window.
The room is also spacious with the King size bed, flat screen TV, working desk and other usual amenities.
It is really comfortable staying here and we can really work on our stories with their free WIFI on the working desk.
The Jacuzzi is a good use especially after a long day. There are not many hotels in Bangkok offer private Jacuzzi and with such competitive rates. The bath towels and bath robes are provided in the room next to the Jacuzzi. We have no complains for the Jacuzzi as usual and it is very clean. We had bad experiences with Jacuzzis in other hotels before.
Breakfast is served at Top Knot restaurant and the restaurant offers a see through glass ceiling with the view of the river.
It is a comfortable restaurant and you can get a simple variety of Western and local cuisine for breakfast and grill for dinner.
At night, Top Knot transformed to a romantic rooftop dinning restaurant. What we love about the restaurant is it is comfortable, quiet and their good service. They are still working on their new food menu so we might check it out on our next trip to Bangkok.
We spent two nights in Hotel Once Bangkok and we enjoyed it. The different location and landscape of this is hotel is one of the things we wanted during our trip to Bangkok. We wanted to move out from the city as well to stay near Asiatique and the Chao Phraya River. The rooms are clean and the hotel staffs are very friendly.
