20th Century Fox World Theme Park Genting Highlands Delays to 2018 

Remember we blogged about the possibility of 20th Century Fox World Theme Park Genting Highlands Opening in 2017 earlier this year in January? Well, it seems to be it will be delayed until next year or probably end of next year (from our insider sources).

When we went up to Genting Highlands in July on our own, the construction is still on going and you can tell there will be a long way to go. You can see the pictures we took in July below.

Why is 20th Century Fox World Theme Park Genting Highlands’s opening is delayed to 2018?

From what we heard and we understand is there will be expansion and more rides added to 20th Century Fox World Theme Park Genting Highlands. This means that it will be bigger and more value for money for customers.

However, it might be the first 20th Century Fox World Theme Park in the world as 20th Century Fox World Theme Park Dubai is delayed to 2020. So all the 20th Century Fox World Theme Parks opening dates are delayed and not just 20th Century Fox World Theme Park Genting.

The announcement of this park was made on 26 July 2013 and we can’t wait for them to open next year.

Where will be the 20th Century Fox World Theme Park in Genting?

Remember the iconic Genting Highlands outdoor theme park? The outdoor theme park with the roller coaster rides, the beautiful garden and the beautiful lake.

We are sure many Malaysians had their childhood photos there once in their lifetime. We still remember how often we visit Genting Highlands in the 1980s and 1990s. We will chilled in theme park area and we usually bring our food there to picnic. Those were the days.

All of them will be replaced by 20th Century Fox World Theme Park. That’s why when we brought our kids to Genting Highland recently, there is nothing much for them to visit now and we went home after a few hours.

What will you expect from 20th Century Fox World Theme Park?

From the official website, the 20th Century Fox World Theme Park will be in 25 acres in size and it will feature over 20 rides and attractions based on films by 20^th Century Fox movies such as Rio, Ice Age, Life of Pi, Night at the Museum, Planet of the Apes, Alien vs Predator and Titanic. Since there are rumours about the expansion of the area and also the number of the rides, there could be more than what is written from their website.

This will be the 2^nd or 3^rd International theme park after Legoland and Movie Animation Park Studios in Ipoh.

You know what’s the beauty of 20th Century Fox World Theme Park Genting Highlands? It will be cooling and nice to walk around. With average temperature of 20 degree Celsius and below, it will be nice to walk around the theme park.

This will be an indefinite crowd puller by Genting Highlands. We really missed the theme park and hope 20th Century Fox World Theme Park will open by next year’s end. Then, we can bring our kids to enjoy the new theme park. Up to today, there is still not much official information on 20th Century Fox World Theme Park at Genting official website.
