Tokyo Shibuya Airbnb Apartment Rental Review
We will be writing a few stories on our experiences in staying in Airbnb Apartment rentals in Japan. We travelled to Japan four times within this two years and we stayed in Airbnb apartments as well as hotels. We stayed in Airbnb apartments in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Sapporo Hokkaido. We also stayed in hotels in Okayama, Tokyo and Chitose Hokkaido.
We stayed in this apartment in Tokyo Shibuya during summer last year. This was not part of our plan as we rented a cheaper Airbnb place (room sharing) but we didn’t like it as it was not what we expected. To make matter worse, we were stranded in Ikebukuro due to flight delay and miscalculation of traveling time from airport to the initial Airbnb stay. We won’t be listing out that particular Airbnb place as we already gave them a fair review on their listing.
Since we didn’t like the first Airbnb stay, we quickly search the Airbnb app and found a good deal in Shibuya Tokyo. The apartment is around 15 minutes of walking from Shibuya Train Station (where the Hachiko statue is). The apartment is pretty quiet at night and it is near a hidden street of restaurants and bars nearby.
We spent two nights there and paid for RM 409 (which around US$ 103) including cleaning and service fees. The apartment is excellent and it is big and they offer FREE pocket WIFI too.
Check out the video for the full walkthrough of the apartment. This is one of our best Airbnb stays in Japan. The location is okay and it is value for money.
Moving forward to 2018, we checked the same listing again and it is now priced at RM 518 per night! The price for this listing goes 2.5 times this year (maybe due to peak season).
