2 min read

It is the time of the year again. Chinese New Year is coming and let’s check out what is new at Suria KLCC.

If you are planning to visit Suria KLCC during this festive season, do check out their Chinese New Year decorations, the Chinese New Year activities and performance at the Centre Court, special redemptions and also CSR merchandise selling.

At the Centre Court, there will be activities and performances happening from 23rd January to 10th February 2019.

The Main Stage is decorated with pots of Mandarin Oranges trees and Pink Peony flowers. These auspicious trees are meant to bring luck for this New Year. There are also red lanterns at the Main Stage.

Our boys love the decorations at the Main Stage and we took quite a number of photos of them here. If you want to have nice family photos for this Chinese New Year, visit the Main Stage at Suria KLCC.

At the Esplanade (below the Twin Towers), there is the 40 feet Mandarin Basket Replica. This is one of the highlights of this year’s Chinese New Year decorations.

You can take a photo of the Mandarin Basket together with the iconic Twin Towers. What you need to do is to have a wide angle camera with the right spot. Our boys were amazed by the huge Mandarin Basket Replica.

For performances, Suria KLCC offers Meet & Greet with God of Prosperity, traditional Lion Dance, Hi Pole Lion Dance, Chinese Traditional Dances, Festive Drums and 5-piece Chinese Musical Ensemble. Check out the full schedule of the Chinese New Year Specials performances below.

We met the ‘God of Prosperity’ when we visited Suria KLCC and our boys loved him. The God of Prosperity was swarmed by shoppers and tourists like a KPOP idol. He was the superstar of the day.

Lastly, Suria KLCC is working with charity organization (Hospis Malaysia) with an aim to raise RM10,000 donation collectively from 19th January till 22nd February 2019 through merchandize selling & direct donation from shoppers.

Shoppers that donate RM15 will be entitled to redeem either the wool felt document folder or a token of appreciation.
