Platinum smoked Salmon fish “Yee Sang”

We started our dinner with Malaysia created CNY dish ‘Yee Sang’. This is the Platinum smoked Salmon fish “Yee Sang”. Remember to speak out the auspicious words while tossing the yee sang for a good and prosperity year. The yee sang comes with generous among of salmon and the taste and texture is just right.

Premium Abalone Poon Choy

The Premium Abalone Poon Choy comes with premium ingredients and served in a claypot. The dishes include  abalone, sea cucumber, Japanese dried scallops, goose web, king prawn, roasted duck, steamed chicken, sea moss fish ball, dried oysters, dried fish maw, beancurd stick, sea moss, baby cabbage, mushrooms, white radish, gluten, oyster mushroom, yam.

The fun part of having poon choy is discovering new food in each layer. By the time you finish all the food in the claypot, you will feel satisfied by the different taste and texture of the food.

Braised sea treasure soup with fresh scallop

This is a very simple and yet tasty soup. We enjoy the taste of this soup and this is tummy warming.

Combination of crispy chicken stuffed with water chestnut and almond flake and crispy chicken roll with salted egg

This is a traditional Chinese dish that is not offered by many restaurants as it needs to prepare this dish. We enjoyed the crispy chicken skin with the tender meat and the salted egg.

Stewed omega rich grouper fish with spicy black bean and onion sauce

Look at that size of the grouper fish. This is stewed grouper fish with black bean and onion sauce. We enjoyed the freshness taste of the fish as well as the texture as it is cooked to perfection.

Steamed rice with assorted meat and chestnut wrapped in lotus leaf

This Lotuf Leaf Steamed Rice is served individually. The rice is fragrant with the lotus leaf taste and this is enjoyable.

Assiette of Chinese pastries

Lastly, is the Chinese pastries or desserts and they are steamed ninko with shredded coconut with baked peony lotus seed paste and sugar. These are sweet desserts that you can’t resist.

Overall, we enjoyed the service and the food at Shang Palace in Shangrila KL.
