Are you a big fan of hot spring or ‘onsen’? We love hot spring and we visited a number of hot springs in Japan, Taiwan and even Australia. During our recent trip to Taiwan, we visited The Loft Seaside Suites Hot Spring in Jinshan.

The Loft Seaside Suites is a beautiful property in Jinshan, New Taipei City. The Loft Seaside Suites offered different types of rooms and hot spring facilities. The Loft Seaside Suites is located on 207, Taiwan, New Taipei City, Wanli District, 大鵬里萬里加投166-1號. It is just minutes away from the Jinshan Jinbaoli Old Street.

Jinshan hot springs are very popular among the locals. There are a number of properties that offer hot spring facilities and The Loft Seaside Suite is one of them.

Here, the hot spring produce carbonic acid water at temperatures of 45 to 86 degrees Celsius. We were told that Jinshan provides four types of water: oceanic sandy, sulfuric, carbonic acid, and iron.

The Loft Seaside Suites offers private hot spring and public hot spring facilities. The private hot spring is a room like the picture above and it comes with private pool huge enough for a few people. If you need some privacy, you can book this private hot spring facility.

The outdoor public hot spring is impressive as it offers various types of hot spring pools with various types of water and temperature. This is a mixed gender public hot spring so no nudity is allowed. Please wear proper swimsuit while enjoying the public hot spring here.

What we like about the public hot spring area is the space and different types of pools available. We prefer outdoor hot spring pool as the weather is cooling and you get to see the clear blue sky.

How to get to Jinshan

You can take public transport to Jinshan.

1. Take HSR (or TRA) to Taipei Train Station → Kuo-Kuang Bus (bound for Jinshan (Jin Mountain) Youth Activity Center) to Jinshan (Jin Mountain) stop

2. Take HSR (or TRA) to Taipei Train Station, transfer to MRT Tamsui Station, transfer to Crown Northern Coast Shuttle Bus, get off at Jiatouli (Hot Spring Area) stop. Please see bus schedule on Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Bus Web.
