Unique Japanese Food at I Say Yatta Central i-City Malaysia

We recently visited Central i-City Malaysia for the first time and we stumbled upon a unique Japanese restaurant called I Say Yatta. From what we know, this is a popular Japanese restaurant ‘I Say Yatta’ from Brunei recently launched at Central Central i-City Shah Alam Malaysia. Yatta in Japanese means ‘(I or We) did it!”. Yatta means proclamation of success and it is a popular term used in Japanese movies, dramas, games and anime.

I Say Yatta is located at LG 17, Lower Ground Floor, Central i-City Shah Alam. It is near the escalator the B1 Parking.  You can easily spot the I Say Yatta with its bright colours and design.

We love the clean and cozy ambiance of I Say Yatta Central i-City. The colours and the Japanese pictures and paintings are nice spots for photography.

I Say Yatta offers unique Japanese food such as Rice bowl, Rice Burgers, snacks and drinks. They offer a variety of rice bowl including their signature Chicken Karaage Rice Bowl, Yoshi’s Bowl, Salted Egg Chicken Karaage, Katsu Chicken, Aburi Beef Yakiniku, Salmon Aburi, Salmon Poke, Char-Grilled Beef Onsen and Char-Grilled Chicken Onsen.

For rice burgers, they offer Teriyaki chicken, Spicy Mayo Salmon and Crispy Soft Shell Crab.

If you want some snacks, they also offer Chicken Karaage, Fries or Cheesy Tofu.

Now, let’s check out what we ordered for our lunch. Let’s start with their Rice Bowls.

The rice bowl comes with chicken karaage is topped with salted egg sauce with chopped chili and spring onion with rice. What we like about this is the crispy and tender chicken karaage with the delicious salted egg sauce with hints of spiciness after taste. This rice bowl of goodness is comfort food.

Salmon Poke is the rice bowl with generous amount of salmon cubes with spicy sauce. We enjoyed the freshness of the salmon and how they cut the salmon to bite size cubes. The spicy sauce enhances the flavour of the salmon and complements well with the rice.

For rice burgers lovers like us, this is something you must order at at I Say Yatta Central i-City. Firstly, check out their spicy mayo salmon rice burger. The rice burger comes with lettuce and generous amount of spicy mayo salmon cubes. What we love about their rice burger is how they use the seaweed to make the rice burgers intact. It is always messy to have rice burger as the rice bun will loosen after a few bites so with seaweed, it added more texture, flavour and keep the rice intact.

Rice burger with crispy soft shell crab is probably the most unique Japanese food ever. The soft texture of the rice burger bun and the crispy soft shell crab, this is our favourite item at I Say Yatta Central i-City.

We also ordered the Cheesy Tofu for snack. The Cheesy tofu is soft in texture, tasty with cheesy filling. The kids will love this.

This is a very interesting drink. Winter Melon with Rocksalt Cheese? Can it work together? Surprisingly, the taste is good. We always enjoy the refreshing taste of winter melon with the saltiness of creamy cheese, this is addictive.

The brown sugar fury is their version of brown sugar boba tea. We enjoyed the strong taste of the brown sugar and this version of boba tea won’t go wrong.
