Where to stay in Phuket? There are over thousands of hotels and resorts on Phuket Island. Many Malaysians and Singaporeans prefer to stay in Patong area but we love to venture to other parts of Phuket. Phuket itself is a huge island and there are over a dozen of beaches around the island. The recent resort we stayed in Phuket is Beyond Resort Kata.

There are many reasons we stay in Beyond Resort Kata in Phuket. Beyond Resort Kata is a four star resort, it is located in Kata region of Phuket and the prices of their room is reasonable.

How to travel around Phuket? We love to drive around Phuket and we usually will rent a car in the airport. We usually rent from Thai Rent A Car as they are a very established local car rental company in Thailand. They have thousands of cars under their fleet and you can book it on the spot in the airport.

It takes around 40 minutes from the airport to Beyond Resort Kata and they offer free parking to guests. Beyond Resort Kata is not a new hotel but it is well maintained and most of the guests here are Westerners.

When you step in into the lobby, you can spot the huge atrium of the hotel. You can spot the huge pillars over four storeys high with the natural light brightened the atrium.

The room is huge and it comes with two beds as they ran out of King size bed room. If you look at the design, the room looks new as it has been refurbished. The flooring is made from wooden panels and you might like the details like the lights.

The room comes with flat screen TV, working desk, mini fridge, safe and the basic amenities but you going to enjoy the soft sound of the sea waves from the sea.

One of the best part of this room is there is a balcony facing the sea. You can enjoy a cuppa of coffee or a can of beer while enjoying the sea. You can also dry your swimwear here too!

For the bathroom, it comes with toilet with bidet, standing shower and bathtub. The basin comes with the huge marble top with premium toiletries.

There is the outdoor swimming pool next to the bar. You can spend the entire day at the pool or by the pool on the sun-tanning benches with a glass of beer or cocktail enjoying the best from Phuket.

If you prefer the beach, this is the private Kata Beach and you will enjoy the white sands and the beautiful sea here.

For food, you must visit the Italian restaurant called ‘Calcio’ in Beyond Resort Kata Phuket. The chef is an Italian and he makes the best pizzas in Phuket. Their pizza is a must try regardless you stay in the hotel or not.

End the day by visiting their spa in the hotel. Remember to book your spa session and you won’t be disappointed with the choices of massage available.
