The Cheesecake Factory is one of the popular cheesecake restaurants in United States of America. The Cheesecake Factory story originated in Detroit Michigan in the 1940s and they opened their first restaurant in Beverly Hills California in 1978. Now, they have over 200 Cheesecake Factory restaurants in USA and around the world. In Asia, there are Cheesecake Factory in countries in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Mexico, the Chinese Mainland and Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau.

One of the main reasons we visited the Dubai Mall is to find the Cheesecake Factory. It was highly recommended by our friends who tasted their cheesecake. Since we were in Dubai Mall after visited the Burj Khalifa, why not we order a cheese cake at Cheesecake Factory.

The restaurant was packed when we reached the restaurant so we sat at the foyer area. We had dinner so we were there for the cake / dessert.

We ordered one of their signature cakes, the Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake. This is their most popular flavour for over 35 years according to the menu. We also ordered the caramel latte.

The Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake is topped with glazed fresh strawberries. The taste the cheesecake is light with cheese flavour and it is then refreshed by the glazed strawberries. Both elements offer subtle taste that compliments each other.

We were expecting heavy cheese taste but the Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake offers lighter and refreshing taste. Don’t get us wrong, we enjoyed the cake but maybe we had too high expectation.

We definitely visit Cheesecake Factory for more cakes in the future and taste their other variants. Recently, we heard rumours that the Cheesecake Factory might open in one of the shopping malls in Kuala Lumpur. Till we have more concrete news, we won’t be blogging about it.
