Currently, there are only two patients are still under treatment for COVID-19 after one more of Macau’s 45 COVID-19 patients was discharged from hospital today, according to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre.

The discharged patient is a 12-year-old male Macau resident who returned to Macau on March 20 from the United Kingdom.

He had gone into medical observation in one of Macau’s government-designated “quarantine hotels” before being diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease on March 23.

Upon his discharge today, he will start his 14-day recovery period isolation in the Public Health Clinical Centre in Coloane.

There have only been 45 confirmed novel coronavirus cases in Macau, with 43 patients already discharged and no deaths.

To be honest, we missed traveling to Macau. We visited Macau quite a number of times since our first visit in 2013. We find Macanese food is interesting and good, similar to Hong Kong food but with the unique blend from the Portuguese influence. We can’t wait to travel to Macau when it is safe to travel.
