AirAsia X Suspends Kuala Lumpur to Narita Flights

We got to know the news from one of our friends who is a frequent traveller. His AirAsia X flight from Kuala Lumpur to Narita Japan is cancelled and it will be rerouted to Kuala Lumpur to Haneda within 30 days of the initial travel date. Hence, we did some checking on AirAsia and indeed AirAsia X Suspends Kuala Lumpur to Narita Flights.

The AirAsia X Suspends Kuala Lumpur to Narita Flights also reported on RoutesOnline.com. We did a quick search on AirAsia.com website and there are no longer flights available for Kuala Lumpur to Narita.

The following is the email from AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur to Narita flight guests.

We regret to inform you that your AirAsia X flight D7552 scheduled to depart from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Tokyo – Narita (NRT) on xx has been cancelled.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused, and you may select one of the following service recovery options below:

1. Credit account: Request for a credit account of the value of your booking which is to be redeemed within 730 calendar days from the issuance date for your future travel with us. The actual travel dates can be after the expiry date as long as our schedule is out. Credit Accounts are not only faster to redeem, but also have a longer validity, and are more convenient for you, as you can simply top up for future bookings, if need be.

For Credit Account, you may chat with Ava now at https://air.asia/CA. Once the AVA chat window opens, complete the fields as directed by AVA.

2. Reroute to a direct flight: Change of route from/to Kuala Lumpur (KUL)/ Tokyo – Narita (NRT) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL) / Tokyo – Haneda (HND) within 30 days of the initial travel date.

For change travel date, you may chat with Ava now at http://tinyurl.com/vl9mayx. Once the AVA chat window opens, select “Travel Notices” from the menu followed by “Temporary AirAsia X Flight Suspension” and select “Move Flight/Reroute” as your option, provide your new flight details (date and time) and complete the fields as directed by AVA.

3. Full Refund: Request for a full refund of the value of your booking.

For refunds, you may chat with Ava now at http://tinyurl.com/vl9mayx. Once the AVA chat window opens, select “Refund” from the menu followed by “New Refund Request” and complete the fields as directed by AVA.

The above options are only applicable for direct online booking made via airasia.com. These options are not applicable for group bookings. Kindly refer back to your respective travel agency for any group booking recovery options.

We are not sure whether the AirAsia X Kuala Lumpur to Narita Flights will be permanently remove as we don’t speculate these things. There are also no timeline as when can Malaysia fly to Japan and Japan is ready to open their borders. As for now, AirAsia X Suspends Kuala Lumpur to Narita Japan Flights.
