6 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia

The new updates on the COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia and are 6 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia as on 12 noon, 3 October 2020 as announced by Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) or Ministry of Health Malaysia on their official Twitter account. Please take note that KKM categorised areas with 41 COVID-19 cases and above as red zones.

A few days ago, we blogged about 5 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia and there is a new COVID-19 Red Zone and it is Kota Kinabalu.

Yesterday, the whole Malaysia was shocked with 317 new cases of COVID and we are as worried as you are right now and waiting to listen to the 5.30pm announcement later by Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

This is the accumulative cases from 20 September to 3 October 2020 (12 pm noon) and this excludes ‘Imported COVID 19 cases’ from abroad, imported cases from other states and imported cases from other areas.

The 6 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia

  1. Kota Setar Kedah – 347 cases
  2. Tawau Sabah – 344 cases
  3. Lahad Datu – 95 cases
  4. Kunak – 133 cases
  5. Semporna – 433 cases
  6. Kota Kinabalu – 113 cases

We noted that there are many other Red Zones map out there but we published the official map from Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) or Ministry of Health Malaysia on their official Twitter account.

Please take note that there are also new COVID 19 cases in Langkawi and you can read it at https://www.placesandfoods.com/2020/10/langkawi-new-covid-19-bah-ketil-cluster.html

If possible, please stay put within this two to four weeks until the COVID-19 cases drop to single digit. Places like Langkawi, Penang or other areas are still around, just hold on tight until it is safer to do so. The choice of traveling is yours but this is just our opinion.

Please take care of yourself and your loved ones during this period of time. Be safe and take care everyone.
