This is one of the usual breakfast place before they start their work in the city. Restoran Win Heng Seng is a popular coffee shop offering a few food stalls which include the pork noodles stall. They have been selling the famous pork noodles for breakfast and lunch for decades.

They are located at the corner of 183, Jalan Imbi, Imbi (traffic light junction). There are many road changes in this part of Imbi for the last decade and there are many roads become one way.

Even the famous Bintang Palace night club across the road is closed after many decades of glory. It was one of the most expensive night clubs in Malaysia and Bintang Palace was the place to visit back then.

We visited this Restoran Win Heng Seng Imbi Famous Pork Noodles many times over the years and the photos are taken in a few visits.

Their peak hours are during the breakfast and lunch session as the people who work and stay around here will come for their pork noodles fix. They are open from 6 am until 3 pm (or earlier).

Their famous pork noodles is the ‘sam kan chong’, a pork noodles created in Kuala Lumpur. You can’t find sam kan chong out of KL so this is a local food.

Basically, sam kan chong is dry pork noodles with sweet dark soy sauce, minced meat, pork sauce and served with pork meat ball in soup and topped with spring onion.

You can have option of noodles or kuey teow for the sam kan chong, dry or soup version too.

What you get is the fragrant minced pork and the savoury dark sauce mixed together with the noodles.

The pork sausage is immense with flavor and our kids loved this very much. The flavor combination makes the pork noodles very tasty with the spot on umami.

Please expect long queue and it is even hard to get a table during peak hours (during non COVID-19). The price for a bowl of pork noodles is less than RM 10 and we felt it is reasonable consider this is located in the heart of the city.
