How efficient is Phuket airport? Well, it takes 30 minutes for me to leave Phuket Airport including PCR Test and buying local sim card. Hard to believe but its real.
Once we (me and my friends) reached Phuket Airport flying from KLIA2 for an hour, we were escorted to arrival hall. We have to complete the Arrival Card on the plane and show them the Thailand Pass. They will check your Thailand Pass QR code before you proceed to the Immigration counter.
Make sure you put all the details in the Arrival Card for example hotel name, address, email address and phone number. Please don’t be lazy. We were lucky there were not a lot of people but all the immigration counters were open.
After we cleared the immigration, we went to purchase our local sim card which took us around 5 minutes. The luggage is already at the conveyor belt and we proceed to clear the custom counters.
Right after we went out, we went to do our PCR Test. Just show them your Hotel order form (and better with PCR Test receipt), you will need to queue for your PCR Test. The whole waiting and PCR test process is less than 5 minutes.
Miraculously, it takes 30 minutes to leave Phuket Airport including PCR Test and six hours to receive the PCR Test result via email. The hotel resort will be notified by the result of the PCR Test too.
