What Malaysians Need To Do To Travel to Thailand from May 2022
Let me do a quick update as I am still traveling in Thailand. From 20th April, I have been traveling from Phuket – Khao Lak and now Bangkok. There are many important rules changed for the past few days especially today so let me do a quick summary for everyone. What Malaysians Need To Do To Travel to Thailand from May 2022.
From 1 May 2022, both Thailand and Malaysia do not require anymore PCR test. This means you no longer need to do any PCR test when you travel to Thailand from Malaysia. This is for vaccinated travellers only.
These new rules mean you save the cost of two PCR Test that will cost you from 35k Baht (RM 400++) and above. The new Thailand rules means you do not require special hotel stay too and COVID-insurance is reduced to US 10k coverage (from US 20k coverage). The COVID insurance should cost depends on Insurance company.
Thailand Pass application for 1st May starts from 29th April and I kindly advise travellers not to rush application for the first week of May.
