My family has been dining at this restaurant for almost 10 years in Kajang. From their original location at the corner house, they moved twice before moving back to 1, Jalan Berjaya Baru 1, Taman Berjaya Baru. This Chinese restaurant has gone thru a lot and survived the two years of MCO.

We have dine in at Meng Seng Seafood Restoran Kajang for dozens of times and these are the few dishes that we frequently ordered. They have gone thru a lot of up and downs over the years and they did a huge expansion before the pandemic hits.

However, they did survive and moved back to the corner lot of Taman Berjaya Baru and you can still find many of their regular customers either dining or take away their food. The restaurant is just a few doors away from Pasaraya HM. The restaurant is air conditioned with typical Chinese restaurant interior.

These are the food we usually ordered and this is from our last visit at Meng Seng Seafood Restoran Taman Berjaya Baru Kajang last month. We usually ordered this few dishes as our kids loved it.

We ordered Sweet and Sour Pork, Steamed Fish with Ginger and Fried Calamari with Salted Egg. This is for family of four with our two boys.

Sweet and Sour Pork is our boys favourite dish. Their version of sweet and sour pork is crispy and coated with the sweet and sour sauce. The pork is crispy and tender and immense with flavor. This is best complement with rice.

Fried Calamari with Salted Egg. They use calamari rings for the first time as previously they use squid, probably either they ran out of stock or cost issue. The calamari is deep dried to perfection before it is stir fried with the salted egg sauce and curry leaves.

The calamari is crispy and coated with the layer of sweet salted egg with hints of spiciness from the curry leaves. Our boys loved this.

Steamed Fish (Tilapia) with grated ginger and light soy sauce. This is a common steam fish and we usually ordered Tilapia fish.

This is not the perfect photo of the Steamed Tialapia Fish with grated ginger but it is steamed with perfection. The fish is fresh with good texture while it is lightly flavored by the light soy sauce and grated ginger. The ginger will offer hints of spiciness and this goes well with rice.

Overall, we always find the food at Meng Seng Seafood Restoran Taman Berjaya Baru Kajang enjoyable and value for money. If you want a decent meal without breaking a hole in your wallet, Meng Seng Seafood Restoran Taman Berjaya Baru Kajang is place to go and that is the reason why they still have many loyal customers dining in or take away.
