While many people comes to Restoran Kean Fatt in SS3 for the pork noodles but we were here for another reason, the Chun Kee Pan Mee. This Chun Kee Pan mee is recommended by a friend from Makan Club and hence we went there to check it out.
Restoran Kean Fatt SS3 is located at 2, Jalan SS 3/59e, SS 3, 47300 Petaling Jaya. The Chun Kee pan mee is one of the stalls within the restaurant. This is the kopitiam style food court restaurant and the regulars here are usually the people from the neighbourhood.
They offer the dry and soup version of pan mee. We ordered the dry version of pan mee with and without the chili paste.
Chun Kee Pan Mee offers their signature special hand pull smooth pan mee. A bowl of their pan mee come with their smooth pull noodles, minced meat, mushroom, green and fried anchovies.
Their pan mee comes with probably the best texture we ever tasted. The texture is smooth and every bite is satisfaction. For the taste though, it is probably a bit heavy on the sauces but overall it is still a very tasty bowl of pan mee (if you like traditional pan mee).
For chili lovers, you should order the dry pan mee with chili and it is very spicy. We are not huge spicy lover so it was too spicy for us.
Chun Kee Pan Mee at Restoran Kean Fatt SS3 offers one of the best traditional pan mee in this part of Klang Valley. This is something you can check out if you are craving for traditional pan mee and especially if spicy is your middle name.
