Just a quick review for Koh Panyee Village Restaurant at Phang Nga. Koh Panyee is a sea gypsy island and many travellers will stop here for lunch when they visit the James Bond Island. There are quite a number of restaurants here and I visited the Koh Panyee Village Restaurant.

The history of this island is quite unique. The settlement started in late 18 centuries by nomadic Malay fishermen. From two families, the Java descendent have now expanded to 360 families or 1685 people. That’s why you can spot this beautiful mosque in the middle of the island.

The Koh Panyee Village Restaurant is one of the many restaurants on the island. Most of the customers here are tourists so please take note on the pricing of the food.

The Koh Panyee Village Restaurant comes with English menu, ala-carte or set. They serve mainly Thai food.

I ordered the fried fish with sweet and sour sauce, fried egg omelette, fried chicken and prawn, stir fried vegetables and tom yam.

Overall, Koh Panyee Village Restaurant offers decent Thai food, nothing more and nothing less. Of course, you probably had better Thai food but this is just decent food at Koh Panyee, Phang Nga.

I have not tried the other restaurants at Koh Panyee so I can’t do a comparison. Hence, I am not sure the average quality and taste of the food here. For the price, it is still manageable consider this is a tourist hotspot.
