We went to check out the Yue Restaurant Mid Autumn Festival Sets at Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel. We had The Moon Blossom set and it comes with six dishes.
Mid Autumn Happiness Platter with Abalone
This platter comes with few unique dishes that includes ice plant, abalone with ikura, jelly fish and salmon with tomato.
This is not your ordinary platter as it comes with ice plant which is our favourite. If you never tried ice plant, the texture is crunchy and this is tasty.
Another mention should goes to that huge abalone with ikura (fish roe). The abalone texture is still good with hints of the saltiness from the ikura.
Double boiled Fish Maw Soup with Wild Red Mushroom and Dried Scallop. This is one of the fish maws we have tasted for a while. Look at the size of that fish maw and it comes with great texture. The soup itself comes with many goodness such as the scallops, wild red mushroom and more.
Steamed Tiger Garoupa Fillet served with Soybean Crumbs and Wolf Berries. We must say, that is a big piece of tiger garoupa fillet and it is steamed to perfection. What we like about this is the soybean crumbs that gives extra texture and taste to the fish.
Wok fried Prawn Meat with Chinese Spinach Cream. This is a unique dish, the fresh prawn with the Chinese spinach cream. Let’s say that we don’t admire the taste of the Chinese spinach cream but if you love the paste, you will love this dish.
Fujian style Fried Rice with Crab Meat and Chicken pieces. This is another unique fried rice, it comes with wok hei and generous amount of ingredients. The unique part is it comes with beansprout that usually not in fried rice. It offers the crunchy texture that is new to fried rice.
Cold dessert of Red Dates, Papaya, Fungus and Jasmine Tea. You can complaint this sweet and flavourful dessert. What a great dish to end the Moon Blossom Set.
Whereas, The Blissful Harvest Set is priced at RM328nett per person with a minimum order of two sets and highlights unique flavours such as Steamed Cod Fish with Black Olive and Shredded Dried Orange Peel and Chilled Bird’s Nest served with Coconut Cream and Papaya. In true Mid-Autumn spirit, both sets include Yue’s classic baked mooncake.
