If you followed my blog, I have been promoting AirAsia Rewards Points since 10 years ago. It was called the Big Card before they changed to AirAsia BIG and now AirAsia Rewards Points. The whole idea of the AirAsia Rewards Points to use the points to redeem or pay off the AirAsia and AirAsia X flights.

This morning, I was told by a traveler that AirAsia Rewards Points Cannot Be Used for AirAsia X Flights. I went to AirAsia.com and also the AirAsia Super Apps to check and it is true, AirAsia Rewards Points Cannot Be Used for AirAsia X Flights.

I tried a few destinations from Kuala Lumpur to Busan, Taipei and Haneda (Tokyo) and there is no option to pay with AirAsia Points.

Next, I tried with AirAsia destinations from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok and Bali, you can still have the option to pay with AirAsia Points.

There is no official announcement on AirAsia Rewards Points Cannot Be Used for AirAsia X Flights but this is really sad.

As the HLB AirAsia Card user, I have racked up points to over 100,000 AirAsia points. The idea is to pay / redeem AirAsia X flights but now it cannot be used for AirAsia X Flights. I think it is quite unfair for AirAsia Rewards Platinum members who takes years to accumulate the AirAsia points.

Hope to hear from AirAsia soon about this.
