We stayed at Kimpton Maa Lai Bangkok recently and we were blown away by the stay experience. This five star luxury hotel is not just a city hotel but beyond the ordinary. Kimpton Maa Lai Hotel is one of the few pet friendly hotels in Bangkok.

Pet friendly hotels are unheard of in Malaysia and it is pretty common in Bangkok. We were told by the general manager, guest can bring any pet that can fits into the elevator and they are welcomed.

We saw dogs and cats and we heard guests brought snakes, geckos and more into Kimpton Maa lai Bangkok. Don’t worry, not all the guests brought their pet so there are still more human guests than animals.

Kimpton Maa Lai Bangkok is hidden in the green lush of Langsuan Road by Lumphini Park. The first impression of this hotel is a luxury home within the mini jungle in Bangkok.

It is located within the greens and walking distance to Velaa Sindhorn Village Shopping Mall. It takes less than 5 minutes of walk from the hotel to the mall.

Back to the hotel, they offer 362 hotel rooms including 131 serviced residences. We stayed at the King Essential room and please watch the video to see room tour.

It is a huge room, well design with a touch of luxury. The king size bed comes with four pillows and it comes with beautiful carpet, walls, carpet and lightings.

You will be greeted with the welcome fruit platter, mango sticky rice and a few personalized notes from the general manger and housekeeping. Don’t forget, they also offer you the Phuang Malai, a symbol of honoring, love and generosity of Thais.

The mini bar includes coffee machine, complimentary mineral water as well as mini fridge, snacks and drinks.

We love the little reading corner for guests to relax after a long day before sleep.

The bathroom is huge and it comes with two basins. If you are traveling with a partner, this is ideal as you do not want to fight for a space in the bathroom.

It also comes bathtub, standing shower and toilet with bidet. There is also a hidden wardrobe within the bathroom. Is this a hotel room or a private apartment?

Due to its location, it is very quiet and night and different from the city hotels.

For facilities, they offer infinity spa, meeting rooms, swimming pool and fitness center / gym. Since our schedule was so packed in Bangkok, we didn’t spend time for any of them which is a mistake. If you plan to stay at Kimpton Maa lai Bangkok, do make time to enjoy the facilities here since you paid up so much for the room.

For dinner, we head up to Bar Yard Rooftop Bar. Bar Yard Rooftop Bar is located on the 40^th floor of Kimpton Maa-lai Hotel Bangkok. You will be amazed by the tiki bar couple with the elements of American backyard barbecue, complete with a bright, breezy haven of lush greenery and tropical-inspired furnishings.

For breakfast, it is at Stock.Room restaurant. They offer a mixture of Western and Asian cuisine. Let’s be honest, the restaurant is beautiful including their food.

You will see many hotel guests taking photo at almost every corner of Stock.Room with their food.

Instead of the typical hotel breakfast, the quality of the food is similar to high-end cafes in Bangkok. The food looks amazing and it taste good too. You will be looking forward for the breakfast every morning if you are staying at Kimpton Maa lai Bangkok.

Lastly, if you are a coffee lover then you should check out the Craft Café at lobby. They open from 7 am until midnight daily and it is a popular coffee hangout place for hotel guests and locals.

Overall, Kimpton Maa lai Bangkok is not just a pet friendly hotel but a unique hotel. You feel like staying in the middle of the green in the concrete jungle of Bangkok and yet It is near to many popular landmarks.
