This is one of the underrated restaurants in IOI City Mall Putrajaya. We are talking about Peranakan Place IOI City Mall Putrajaya. We visited this restaurant at least half a dozen times since they opened at IOI City Mall Putrajaya.

The Peranakan Place is located near Lotus’s (former Tesco) supermarket at IOI City Mall Putrajaya Old Wing. It is also located near Harvey Norman at Lower Ground floor and Direct Sports Store, so you roughly knows the location.

If not mistaken, there are three Perakanan Place restaurants in Klang Valley and we visited the NU Sentral outlet and this IOI City Mall Putrajaya outlet.

We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Peranakan Platter, Baba Platter, Pai Tee and Baba Cendol. These are the usual food we ordered and most of the time, our kids will have the fried rice as usual.

Pai Tee is the starter. It usually comes with four pieces. It comes with crispy casing and their version comes with cashew nuts instead of peanuts. Loved this especially dipped it with the sweet chili sauce.

The platter or combo comes with their signature dishes such as sambal petai prawn, grilled chicken, grilled fish (stingray) and ju hu char. Ju hu char is stir fried jicama (the same ingredient they used inside traditional popiah).

This platter comes with chicken pongteh, sambal chili paste, anchovies and ju hu char. The chicken pongteh is well cooked, even though the platter doesn’t look that appetizing on photo. We enjoyed this.

This is their version of pineapple fried rice that comes with prawns, fried chicken wings in tom yam sauce and crackers.

We usually ordered this without spicy for kids and they loved this especially the crispy fried chicken wings.

This is a must order whenever we dine at Peranakan Place IOI City Mall Putrajaya. The cendol is fragrant with Gula Melaka (palm sugar), sweet and addictive. Our parents love to order this whenever we dined at this restaurant.

Overall, the food at Peranakan Place IOI City Mall Putrajaya is decent, service is not too bad either depending on how packed is the restaurant.
