This is my parents’ favourite nyonya restaurant in Melaka. The Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant started at the headquarter in Kampung Satu and then it branched out to Taman Malim Jaya and recently their third branch at Melaka Raya. The Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant is growing not due to franchise but their popularity with their loyal customers.

Firstly, the Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant is HALAL restaurant. During our visit in Melaka, we had to visit the Taman Malim Jaya branch as the HQ restaurant was fully booked. Since we stayed near Taman Malim Jaya, we decided to check out this restaurant as it is so highly recommended by our parents.

Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant Taman Malim Jaya is fully air conditioned. The interior is just wooden tables with rattan chairs and part of their wall is using wallpaper. We are not sure this is Nyonya theme or Atlantic theme, we just go for the food.

There are plenty of nyonya dishes on the menu but the food we ordered are kids friendly. Thus, do check out their menu for other nyonya food options. We ordered Pandan Chicken, Ayam Rendang, Telur Cincalok, Ulam Bendi – Sour Chili Okra and Cendol.

Pandan Chicken is for the kids. Chicken meat is well marinated, tasty and kids loved it.

Ayam Rendang is lovely, great texture and taste too. We love that it is not too spicy as it could overwhelm the overall taste. Chicken is tender and great to complement the rice.

Telur Cincalok is fluffy with hints of cincalok. As expected, the kids loved this that goes well with rice.

Ulam Bendi – Sour Chili Okra

Cendol is one of their signature dishes. Initially it was sold out as they ran out of ice. The owner then went to look for ice and we manage to taste the cendol at the end of the dinner.

There are plenty of Nyonya dishes that we have not tried yet and hence we will come back again. Overall, the taste of food is good and food prices are reasonable. Have you tried Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant Taman Malim Jaya in Melaka?
