This is the hidden gem of Thonglo street food. If you are staying at Thonglo or near Thonglo BTS Station, you will notice this restaurant that is often pack. The name of the restaurant mainly in Thai but you can find many foreigners eating too. The restaurant is called Bamee Kon Sae Lee Thonglo.
Bamee Kon Sae Lee Thonglo is located under the Thonglor BTS Train Station. They open from 6.30 am to 11pm daily (except Tuesdays).
Their specialty is egg noodles with various types of ingredients. The challenge is getting a seat as it is often packed during peak hours.
So I went during off peak hours like 3pm, the restaurant is still busy and I managed to get a table. Time for an awesome street food time in Thonglo!
If you look at their menu, most of the food are quite affordable (less than 100 Baht) except their signature egg noodles.
Their Signature Egg Noodles comes with Egg noodles, prawn and pork wonton, roasted pork, crispy roasted pork, roasted duck, shitake mushroom and crab meat! This is priced at 120 baht and it is consider cheap for so many ingredients.
On top of the egg noodles, they also offer fried rice but I didn’t order. Just stick with what they offer the best.
I ordered the signature egg noodles dry and soup version and two herbal tea.
The highlights is the noodles. The texture is springy and love the taste too. The ingredients like prawn and pork wonton, roasted pork, crispy roasted pork, roasted duck, shitake mushroom and crab meat makes it tastier.
They also offer pork lard to add to your noodles for more texture and flavour. Honestly, I think the egg noodles and the whole shebang is really flavourful, tasty and worth it.
Bamee Kon Sae Lee Thonglo Street Food is definitely worth the visit as it is convenient, easy to find, affordable with good food. It is also near Intercontinental Bangkok Sukhumvit.
