Overview of the Situation
Travel in Thailand Remains Safe and Normal
The Royal Thai Government would like to reassure all travellers that the overall security situation in Thailand remains safe, stable, and welcoming.
The recent developments are confined to a limited area near the Thai- Cambodian border in Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Surin and Buriram provinces and do not affect the rest of the country.
Tourist destinations across Thailand remain operational, with no disruptions to travel, transportation, or public
services.Major tourist cities and regions, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Pattaya, Ayutthaya, Khon Kaen, and Udon Thani, remain fully open as usual and accessible. Airports,
highways, interprovincial trains and buses, ferry services, and domestic flights are functioning normally. Hotels, restaurants, attractions, and cultural sites throughout the country continue to welcome guests without any changes to hours or services.
Visitors can enjoy the wide range of experiences Thailand offers—from temples and heritage sites to beach resorts, vibrant street food scenes, and scenic mountain retreats—with
complete peace of mind. Local authorities and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) are collaborating closely with partners nationwide to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all travellers.
