Taipei MRT Viral Old Woman Got Arrested For Theft
Here the latest update on the Taipei MRT Viral Old Woman. The video of a conflict on the Taipei MRT was recently released. In the video, a woman hit a young man with a bag in the MRT car. The young man blocked the attack with his foot, then stood up and kicked the woman violently.
To be honest, we know the women is rude and offensive, the kick was unnecessary. Luckily, the old woman was not injured or else the man will get into trouble.
After learning about the incident, the police treated it as a mutual fight and notified the woman to come to the police station for an explanation. Upon investigation, it was found that the 73-year-old white-haired woman surnamed Zeng was wanted for theft and was arrested by police officers from the Datong Branch on the 1st of October.
On the afternoon of September 29th, a physical altercation over seat pressure was reported on the Taipei Metro. A white-haired elderly woman, carrying several bags and an upright umbrella, was reportedly upset with a young man sitting in a priority seat. She repeatedly pressured him to give up his seat, striking him with the bags. The young man then kicked her, sending her flying across the street to the opposite seat. The woman, enraged, immediately called the police, but the reason she hesitated to do so has been revealed.
The woman surnamed Zeng lives on Liangzhou Street in Datong District. She was sentenced to 55 days in prison for theft and failed to appear for execution, so she was wanted by the Shilin District Prosecutor’s Office. She was arrested by the police at a FamilyMart convenience store at around 9 am on the 1st. The police recognized her at a glance as the woman who had an argument and fight with a young man on the MRT. The MRT police team will also send personnel to confirm her identity.
When Mrs. Zeng was caught by the police, she tried to escape and kept shouting “You have the wrong person”. However, the local police had already grasped the movements and whereabouts of the wanted criminal who had not yet appeared in court, and finally successfully arrested Mrs. Zeng.
It is reported that the woman surnamed Zeng committed multiple thefts, including stealing bamboo shoots from Carrefour Chongqing store, so she was sentenced to 55 days in total. She did not appear for execution, so she was issued a wanted notice.
What a plot twist as we thought she is just a normal elderly woman but she is a thief!
