There are two recent updates on Samsung Galaxy S10 phones in these few months. The first update was two months ago and it enables Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus phones to have the Night Mode photography option. On the latest update this week, the Night Mode photography offers ultrawide angle too.
How good is the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode?
Let us show some of the photos we have taken in Tokyo and Dubai with the night mode. From our experience, it is an upgrade from the normal photography mode. For the first update, Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode works only normal angle while the latest update, it works on normal and ultra wide angle.
Please take note that the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode photos are taken after the first update and not the second update.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode works only on low light condition so it won’t work during day time.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode will capture and processed usually within 3 -5 seconds. The end result depends on the subject but the difference is noticeable. You will notice that the dim area will brighten and it won’t look over processed but it looks more detailed and sharpened.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode works perfectly for landscape in our opinion and you could check out our photos taken in Dubai.
It seems to be that the processing depending on the center focusing area. If the center is dark, the processing takes longer and if it is too bright, there won’t be night mode at all. Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Night Mode will not work during day time.
You don’t need be a professional to take the night mode. Just make sure your hands are still for a few seconds and the end results are pretty good and consistent so far.
To be honest, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus normal photography mode is pretty good. You can check out some of the normal photography mode we taken during our trip to Tokyo.
