When it comes to innovation in tourism, Thailand is also one of the front runners. We have blogged about Sakura Season in Thailand last year and this year, we found another new initiative, Tulip Farm!
This tulip farm is not new and this is the second season. The tulip farm is located in Suan Tung Lae Khom Chiang Rai Park in Chiang Rai (northern city of Thailand). It is also called the Tung Chiang Rai Memorial Park and Suan Tung (Tung Garden).
The pictures are from Tourism Authority of Thailand Malaysia who recently visited the park and interestingly this is a former prison grounds converted into a flower garden.
You can find tulips and other flowers too in this beautiful park located right in the middle of the city. There are still many people even locals are not aware of this garden.

So we do not need to fly all the way to Holland for tulip farm, you can visit Chiang Rai for a mini version. That is indeed a cost saving if you ask us.
The season for the tulip farm in Chiang Rai is end of the year and early of the year. The weather here is cooling as it is “winter” season in Thailand. Tulip Farm in Thailand Suan Tung Lae Khom Chiang Rai Park is a must visit attraction in Chiang Rai. Thus, you can also check out our other stories for Chiang Rai.
Please take note that the Sakura Season in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai is located deep in the mountains and you need special guided tours to visit them.

I am SO gonna do a Hindustan-like “running at the flower field” if I ever come here. The colors are amazing. Although I love roses more than tulips, but these flowers looks gorgeous!!

I’ve been searching this place and how to get there but no luck. I am planning to go on the 27th of this month and will be traveling alone. If you could please advise on how to get there from Chiang Rai bus station that would be much appreciated. I really love to see this place.
