Caffé Ritazza at O.R. Tambo International Airport, South Africa

Few weeks ago, I was chatting with Khairul and JFK (a Radio DJ from Hitz.fm) about airport food. It all started with the awful breakfast we had in KLIA. I don’t bother to publish the outlet’s name as it is common to have bad airport food (except fast food chains like McDonalds or KFC).

Then, I realized that I have not blogged about the lovely breakfast I had in O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg , South Africa. I reached O.R Tambo International Airport quite early and I have one hour transit time with Malaysia Airlines. I was on my way to Buenos Aires Argentina last year.

It is always nice to walk around during transit period and try out some of the food in the airport. Since it was short stop, I’m not going to look for something heavy to eat.

We stopped by at Caffe Ritazza where they serves sandwiches and coffee which was ideal for breakfast.

I ordered the Bacon Sun Blush. It is bacon wrapped with pita bread with sun blush sauce. It was at R 42 and something decent to have for breakfast.

I also ordered something cold for breakfast, ice blended coffee for R 19. Something that we did not has on the airplane.

It was a short breakfast with the view of O.R. Tambo International Airport before we depart to Cape Town for another 1 hour transit. The food was alright, better than most airport food.
