Durian Shake at Pub Street Siem Reap Cambodia

Durian as we called it the King of Fruits in Malaysia is one of the most popular fruits in Asia. There are many different types of durians out there. If you want the best durians, it comes from Malaysia and it has the strongest smell compare to durians from other countries. There are many food products created together with durian such as chocolate, coffee, cake, ‘mochi’, pudding, crackers and many more. In Pub Street Siem Reap, you can get Durian Shake for 2 US dollars. We know it sounds crazy but they offer durian shake (and maybe the folks in Malaysia might want to offer this).

You can find durian shake in most stalls in Pub Street Siem Reap. The usual fruits shake is priced at 1 US dollar while durian shake is priced at 2 US dollars. So we ordered one durian shake out of curiosity. You can check out the video below.

Basically, she mixed the durian flesh with sweet condensed milk and sugar water and blended it with ice. The durian type they use is the sweet type similar to ‘Golden Pillow’ from Thailand.

The taste well not surprising to us, it was diluted and sweet. The taste will be different if they have durian types like D24 or Musang King and the sweet condensed milk and sugar water makes it too sweet to our liking. For 2 US dollars, you can’t complain much right and there are durian stalls selling durians at 4 US dollars for 2 kg which is quite cheap compare to other countries.

If you have not tasted durian before, maybe you can consider in ordering the Durian Shake as the taste is quite subtle. For durian lovers, you might be a bit disappointed with this but for 2 US Dollars, don’t complain so much lar.
