Which is better? 4G Sim card or Portable WIFI for Traveling in Dubai? We were staying in Dubai for a couple of days recently as we were flying back from Cape Town to Kuala Lumpur with a layover in Dubai. Since we were stopping in Dubai, we extended a few days to travel in this beautiful city. We had to make a decision to purchase 4G Sim Card or renting Portable WIFI in Dubai and we chose the 4G Sim Card.

We take a look at the 4G Sim Card and Portable WIFI in Dubai prices at Klook.com, the cheaper option is 4G Sim Card compare to Portable WIFI. Since it is only for two of us, we chose the cheaper option which is 4G Sim Card.

For a 3GB data usage, 4G Sim Card is priced at RM 176 while Portable WIFI is priced at RM 196.

If you are traveling alone or with a partner, 4G Sim Card is an ideal choice. However, if you are traveling in a group of three to five, Portable WIFI is a wiser choice as you can share the cost.

We travelled in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and the mobile coverage is almost 100% and it can also be used in desserts of Dubai (3G).

Please take note this is pickup at Dubai International Airport so it is convenient and easier too. Make sure you know which Terminal you will be arriving and follow the instructions. The 4G Sim Card we purchased from Klook is cheaper than you purchase over the counter.
