Sadao and Bukit Kayu Hitam Custom Checkpoints New 24 Hours Rules

sadao custom checkpoint

Good news everyone, Bukit Kayu Hitam and Sadao custom checkpoints are now open 24 opens a day. This custom service is a three month trial run which will ends on 16th September 2019. The 24 hours custom service is for cargo transports and large size trucks and trailers. This is to boost transportation goods between Thailand and Malaysia.’

The bad news is the 24 hours custom service rules applied for cargo transports only. For the usual cars and bikes, the operating hours remains the same. Currently, the border opens at 6 am Malaysian Time (5 am Thailand Time) and closes at 12 am Malaysian Time (11pm Thailand Time).

We hope that the border can operate 24 hours custom service for permanently and it includes passenger cars and motorbikes. Remember, Sadao and Bukit Kayu Hitam New 24 Hours Rules runs for three months and it will ends on 16th September 2019
