Visatesun Restaurant Bangkok Traditional Thai Food

We visited quite a number of restaurants in Bangkok and Visatesun Restaurant is definitely one of the best traditional Thai food we had.

This is Visatesun Restaurant and they are located at Sukhumvit Soi 32, Bangkok. This is a bungalow converted restaurant that offers lots of parking spaces.

We were recommended by our Thai friends to visit this restaurant in Bangkok. Visatesun Restaurant opened since last year and there are not many tourists know about this place yet. When we there, we noticed that most of their customers are locals.

We booked our table and luckily they have a proper English menu and waiters that speaks fluent English. Visatesun Restaurant offers traditional Bangkok and Thai food.

We ordered Betel Leaves and Jumbo Crab Meat in Coconut Curry with White Noodles, Fried Rice with Mackerel, Spicy Pomelo Salad, Minced Shrimps in Coconut Milk served with Fresh Mixed Vegetables and Deep Fried River Prawn with Tamarine Sauce.

Betel Leaves and Jumbo Crab Meat in Coconut Curry with White Noodles. This is a popular dish from the Southern Thai especially in Phuket. We have featured a few Michelin restaurants offering this particular dish and they are One Chun and Raya Restaurant.

Their version comes with betel leaves that offers more taste and aroma to the spicy creamy coconut curry. Remember you have to compliment the crab meat curry with the white noodles to get the balance of the taste and texture. If you never tried this, you must order this.

Minced Shrimps in Coconut Milk served with Fresh Mixed Vegetables is another popular Thai dish from the Southern Thailand. You dipped the fresh vegetables with the coconut milk sauce. The fresh vegetables will neutralized the spiciness of the coconut milk chili paste so you can enjoy the best from both world.

Fried Rice with Mackerel is new for us. Believe it or not, this is a popular Thai dish. You should mix the fried rice with the chopped lime, ginger, onion and chili for the extra flavours. This is something rather unique as there are so many flavours going on at the same time! This is definitely different from Uncle Roger’s Egg Fried Rice.

Spicy Pomelo Salad comes with huge prawn. This is really spicy and you should order this if you can take up the challenge.

Lastly, we had the Deep Fried River Prawn with Tamarine Sauce. Visatesun Restaurant offer three sizes from 300 gram, 400 gram and 600 gram. If not mistaken, we had the 400 gram prawn and it is huge!

The river prawn is deep fried to perfection and we love the fried shallots. The tamarine sauce is sweet and sour and we loved this. Remember to complement the prawn with the green chili sauce if you love some spiciness in the taste.
