Wat Hat Yai Nai Reclining Buddha Temple
This temple is actually located in the city of Hatyai. Since I drove to this temple, it is not easy to find without a GPS coordinate (below).
It is located on Phetkasem Road near Khlong U Taphao Bridge, this temple is home to Phra Phuttha Hattha Mongkhon. If not mistaken, it is near a school but there are many parking spaces available here.
From the entrance, you walk further in until you meet this huge temple. When I say it is huge, it is really huge.
No wonder that, Phra Phuttha Hattha Mongkhon is considered as the third largest reclining Buddha in the world with a size of 35-meter tall and 10-meter wide. Even when I get closer, I can’t fit the reclining Buddha in to the camera frame, I need a fish eye lens to accomplish it.
Wat Hat Yai Nai is visited by locals and foreign tourists as well. Since it is located in the city, most taxis and tuk tuks should know about this temple. Operating time: 08.00 – 17.00.
