1.Chok Dee Dim Sum
Chok Dee Dim Sum is very popular among the tourists. Many tourist vans and busses will bring their customers to Chok Dee Dim Sum.
You can often see long queue and you need to take a number first before you can take a seat. Once they called out your number, they will give you two papers with your number and they will informed you where your table. We love how they manage the crowd professionally.
Once you get your number, pick up your tray and pick your dim sum. There are dozens of varieties of dim sum available here. In Hatyai, the dim sum restaurants will cook per order.
Dim sum at Chok Dee starts from THB 20 each basket. You can see the size is slightly smaller which is common in Hatyai.
The taste of the dim sum here is pretty good in our opinion. Their dim sum is fresh and the taste overall is good.
They offer sweet sauce in red color which is different than the ones in Malaysia. Remember to come here early to take a number and wait for your table.

This is a brand new dim sum restaurant opened by a local with a Malaysian partner. They are not located in the popular area of Lee Garden but it is close to B.P. Grand Tower Hotel.
They offer Cantonese style dim sum as one of the owner used to work in Hong Kong and China and brought his knowledge to open this restaurant.
Their dim sum is prices starts from THB 58 per plate. Their version of dim sum is bigger in size and portion.
What we recommend here is their Roast Duck and dry noodles. This is a must have here at A Little. You can read our full review here.

3.Ama Dim Sum
Ama Dim Sum is also another popular dim sum restaurant among the tourists. This restaurant is air conditioned and probably one of the biggest dim sum restaurants in the city. This is another reason why you don’t need to queue in this restaurant.
You choose a table to sit and always take the paper with your table number. Collect the tray and start to pick your dim sum baskets.
Dim sum here is priced at THB 18 per basket. There is a huge counter in the middle of the restaurants and you can find dozens of types of dim sums and ‘bao’s too.
If you noticed, the salted duck egg here in Hatyai in general is more reddish in colour and bigger in size too. You can also find deep fried dim sum here at Ama Dim Sum.
The taste of the dim sum is not too bad. We love the choices and dim sum like bacon roll, scallops and such.

4.Khornang Dim Sum
Khornang Dim Sum is the least popular among the tourists but it is popular among the locals. The restaurant is near B.P. Grand Tower Hotel and A Little Dim Sum too.
Their dim sum is priced at THB 18 per basket. You pick and they cook. There is a huge variety of different dim sums you can choose from and you can tell the ingredients are fresh.
You don’t find many tourists here as most of the customers here are locals. The dim sum here is decent and an alternative dim sum restaurant if you stay in this part of Hatyai.
We like their dim sum with salted egg here. You can also find dim sum with tofu and squid here.

5.Cook Chai Dim Sum
Cook Chai Dim Sum is the last restaurant in our list and also our favourite too. This restaurant is popular with locals than tourists and you have to choose a table, get the paper with the table number and order.
The dim sum here is priced at THB 20 per basket and they offer bakuteh also. Don’t be surprised as you can find many restaurants in Hatyai selling bakuteh.
In terms of taste, the dim sum here in general is very good. We love the portion as well as the freshness of the food here.
The salted egg custard bao here is a must order. You can see from the video how is the creamy the salted egg custard filling in the bao.
