For the first time in my life, I venture to the east part of Southern Thailand. Satun is a province borders Malaysian state of Perlis. The province used to be part of Kedah but separated by the Anglo-Siamese Treaty of 1909.
Most of the locals are Muslims and they speak similar Malay accent like Kedahans. It is just the culture and history that amazes me but the eco-tourism in this part of the world.

Staying at Pak Bara offers me the beautiful view of Andaman Sea. Not forgetting the islands in Andaman Sea such as Koh Lipe, the most beautiful island in Thailand.
To go to Satun, you can travel from Hatyai or drive straight up from Wang Kelian Kedah.
